Manager of Pharmacy

Summary of responsibilities

The Manager of Pharmacy will be responsible for the provision of high-quality service in pharmacy and related services, i.e., medication reconciliation. The Manager of Pharmacy will also collaborate with the Cancer Centre leads at the Ottawa Hospital to provide leadership in the chemotherapy program.

• Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy department to ensure the safe delivery of quality patient care.
• Builds and maintains a strong and qualified team that responds to the needs of patients, hospital departments, and physicians by mentoring, coaching and educating employees in the department and hospital.
• Creates an environment that promotes continuous improvement by setting expectations, empowering staff, sharing and spreading ideas, recognizing and rewarding, etc.
