Job Description
Maintenance Engineer in Training, Underground (DET00526) Responsibilities:
Report to the Maintenance Engineer and be part of the Underground Maintenance Department.
Work closely with the Maintenance team and project/engineering teams during mine development and construction phases.
Provide maintenance input into the design and selection of all underground mobile equipment and fixed infrastructure.
Participate in equipment commissioning and testing, ensuring maintainability and operational readiness per the Ontario Mine Act and Regulations.
Determine the optimal mobile equipment fleet composition for current development and future production phases.
Work with the Planning team to provide detailed maintenance strategies, including preventive maintenance schedules and spare parts requirements for the mobile fleet (e.g., jumbos, LHDs, trucks, utility vehicles).
