Job Description
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Performs one or more of a wide variety of maintenance tasks in the upkeep of buildings, machinery, furniture, metal work, and electrical, plumbing, steam, and automotive equipment; performs related duties as required.
COMPLEXITY OF DUTIES
Under general supervision, employees in this class perform miscellaneous maintenance tasks requiring knowledge of one or more trades. General instructions are received regarding what tasks to perform, and considerable leeway is permitted for planning technical details of each assignment.
TYPICAL DUTIES
1. Prepares and paints or varnishes interior or exterior building surfaces and allied equipment; mixes colors, as required; assists in hanging wallpaper.
2. Repairs, cleans, and assists in the installation of plumbing, heating, refrigeration, laundry, or sewer equipment and machinery; cuts and threads pipes, resets sanitary fixtures, and makes minor repairs to pipe lines, as req...
