Job Description
Join the Ontario government as a Litigation Counsel focused on administrative law and litigation. Represent MLITSD at various hearings and provide comprehensive legal support across the province.
This role is open to Step 1 candidates, specifically OPS ALOC and OCAA lawyers within 125 km of the location. The Litigation Counsel will engage in criminal prosecutions, represent clients before Ontario courts, and support client ministries through advice and training. This position also involves travel throughout Ontario for various hearings and inquests.
Key Responsibilities: • Represent MLITSD at OLRB hearings on appeals • Conduct prosecutions under several acts • Provide litigation support and training • Attend Coroner's inquests on behalf of MLITSD • Participate in special projects and committees
