Life Underwriter (Toronto)

Insight Global is seeking experienced Individual Life Underwriters to join a rapidly growing Insurance client. This role is ideal for underwriters with 4–15 years of traditional life and critical illness underwriting experience who have meaningful signing authority (typically $1M–$1.5M+), offering exposure beyond capped or affinity‑market models.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite traditional individual life insurance (non‑affinity / non‑group)
• Make full underwriting decisions, not capped at lower mortality thresholds
• Underwrite Critical Illness (CI) policies
• Review and assess higher‑value, higher‑complexity files
• Exercise signing authority independently within assigned limits

Required Skills & Experience (Must‑Haves)

• 4–15 years of underwriting experience (individual insurance)
• Experience underwriting traditional individual life insurance
• Not affinity or strictly group market only
