Laboratory Analyst, Spectroscopy ICP-MS

About the Position
At ALS, you’ll be part of a global team harnessing the power of scientific testing and data-driven insights to build a healthier future. The overall responsibility of the laboratory analyst includes independently conducting routine and non-routine analyses of geological samples.
Specific Responsibilities
- Operate and perform maintenance on AAS, ICP‑AES and/or ICP‑MS instruments.
- Identify and correct QC related problems to ensure the quality of the analytical data meets ALS standards.
- Evaluate data using instrument software and GEMS.
- Use Microsoft Word & Excel to create written reports.
- Prepare sample dilutions, instrument operating solutions and calibration standards; test and evaluate calibration standards.
- Ensure all prepared and available samples are accounted for in the lab.
- Prioritize workloads according to daily stats and turnaround commitments.
