Journeyman Carpenter

Job Description

ATCO Structures & Logistics is hiring a registered Carpenter Journeyman to join our Kamloops Manufacturing Plant. The role reports to Lead Hand and is responsible for assisting in constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard, conforming to local building codes. This is a full-time permanent position based in Kamloops.

Job Responsibilities

• Build house frameworks, walls, roof, exterior and interior finishes
• Install doors, windows, flooring, cabinets, stairs, handrails, paneling, molding, and ceiling tiles
• Repair and remodel existing structures of all kinds
• Read and interpret drawings
• Select materials, plan sequences and methods of work, and measure and mark materials to avoid costly mistakes or omissions
• Cut and shape materials and join them with nails, screws, bolts, or glue
