Job Description
HANAC, Inc. – originally founded by George Douris as the Hellenic American Neighborhood Action Committee – is a New York City-based multi-faceted social services organization. The organization was founded in 1972 to serve the needs of vulnerable populations throughout New York City.
Job-Readiness Counselors are also responsible for establishing and maintaining a working relationship with worksite supervisors. Job-Readiness Counselors must appropriately conduct themselves, setting the example for all stakeholders, including participants, parents, and co-workers. He/she will assist youth in making informed choices and planning for meaningful futures by helping out with the facilitation of orientations, workshops, and project-based learning activities.
