Lead estimating initiatives at Irving Shipbuilding! We are looking for a dynamic Senior Estimator to craft detailed cost estimates for shipbuilding and repair contracts.
In this pivotal role, you will analyze technical specifications from clients and develop comprehensive cost estimates. Your leadership will guide Cost Estimators in producing accurate proposals, while also managing bid analysis and project schedules. You'll play an integral part in ensuring project budgets are met and align with competitive standards, contributing to the success of our shipyard operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop work scopes and estimate person-hours for projects
• Oversee creation of bid analysis documentation for accuracy
• Ensure detailed execution method statements are produced
• Assist in forming bid/tender packages for clients
• Represent the Estimating Manager in their absence
Requirements:
• Education in Engineering or a relevant skilled trade
