In this role, you will report to the Manager of Investment Analysis, undertaking research to support investment decisions, including acquisitions and early-stage projects. Utilize your financial expertise to support the optimization of TransAlta’s generation portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze financial viability of growth initiatives
• Validate financial model inputs with project managers
• Assess corporate effects of investment decisions
• Provide ad-hoc analysis and financial models
• Work with teams across commercial and operational areas
Requirements:
• 3-5 years’ experience in finance or strategy
• Degree in relevant fields such as finance or economics
• Experience in M&A or corporate development preferred
• Strong knowledge of valuation techniques
