Internal Medicine Clinic Specialist Position
Job Description
Join the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia as a General Internal Medicine specialist, engaging in impactful clinical work and teaching opportunities in a half-time capacity.
UHNBC is expanding its Department of Internal Medicine and looking for a 0.5 FTE GIM specialist. In this role, you will provide essential clinical services, including managing inpatient care and participating in specialized clinics like the peri-operative assessment and diabetes clinics. You will also play a part in clinical teaching and shared call schedules within the department.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver 16 weeks of inpatient care as medical review panel
• Rotate in the inpatient daytime consult service
• Engage in GIM rapid access and specialty clinics
• Contribute to clinical teaching and training
• Participate in the shared call schedule for GIM
