Elevate infection prevention standards at Wiigwas as an Infection Prevention and Control Nurse. This temporary full-time role includes oversight and staff education in a critical healthcare setting.
Reporting to the Director of Care, you will lead infection prevention policies and ensure compliance with the Ministry of Long-Term Care standards. Your role will encompass staff training, outbreak management, and infection surveillance. Collaborate with community partners to enhance public health initiatives and improve care experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement Infection Prevention and Control policies across departments
• Conduct ongoing infection surveillance and manage outbreaks
• Educate staff on best practices and IPAC regulations
• Track and lead vaccination campaigns according to legislation
• Analyze infection trends and recommend improvements
Requirements:
• Current RN or RPN Certificate of Competence
• 2 to 5 years’ health sector experience...
