Job Description
Become a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice with GFL at Moose Creek, Ontario. Contribute to sustainable waste management while gaining hands-on experience in mechanical services, working 50 hours weekly.
This permanent, full-time position offers opportunities for professional growth within a leader in waste management. As an apprentice, you'll perform general mechanics including electrical, hydraulic, and air brake tasks, while adhering to company protocols. Keep track of your work and report on machine status, fostering effective communication with your supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform general mechanical services on heavy vehicles
• Complete daily reports regarding work performed
• Notify supervisor of equipment outages promptly
• Carry out additional tasks as requested by supervisors
Requirements:
• Completion of DEP in heavy vehicle mechanics
• Knowledge in construction or agricultural mechanics is preferred
• P.E.P. card considered an asset
