Health, Safety & Environment Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for site‑specific safety orientation, job site inspections and accident/incident reporting.
• Monitor employees and subcontractors on site to ensure compliance with safety procedures and resolve incidents.
• Proactively identify and mitigate hazardous situations.
• Organize and conduct training programs (e.g., WHMIS, Fall Protection, PPE, CPR/First Aid).
• Create, maintain, and educate staff on a safety‑first culture.
• Review subcontractors’ pre‑construction safety submittals and weekly safety documentation.
• Compile weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual project health & safety statistics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of safety construction experience.
• Ability to delegate and influence others to follow safety rules and regulations.
• Working toward or already holding an NCSO designation with knowledge of OHS regulations.
