HEALTH CARE WORKER (GRADE 1) - DOMESTIC ASSISTANCE

Fixed Term Part Time – 12 - 76 hours per fortnight

We are looking for a Health Care Worker Grade 1 to join our supportive Community Aged Care Services team at Portland District Health.  As a Healthcare Worker - Domestic Assistance, you will perform typical activities that include:

• General household duties including cleaning, laundry, ironing, and meal preparation.
• Shopping without consumer.
• Responsible for compliance with safety guidelines in relation to cleaning products.
• Required to report all unsafe conditions or equipment/appliances in consumers’ homes.
• Carry out tasks in a friendly and cooperative manner, demonstrating a caring attitude towards consumer.
• Encouraging consumers to maintain and enhance their abilities and strengths.
