Health and Safety Coordinator

Responsibilities

As a health and safety coordinator on Pomerleau's construction health and safety team, you will be responsible for implementing the activities planned in the prevention program framework for one or more large-scale building and infrastructure construction projects ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion. You will support all site personnel and actively participate in the planning, organization, and control of site activities to eliminate health and safety hazards at source, in collaboration with the Health & Safety Manager, the Superintendent(s), and/or Foreman(s) of our organization and those of our partners.

• Ensure compliance with the safety standards required by the project’s prevention program.
• Participate in the development and updating of the prevention program for the construction site.
• Monitor the implementation and operation of mechanisms for coordinating employers’ activities on the construction site.
