Head Of Rigging

Main Functions: Manage and oversee rigging operations Act as the lead rigger during rehearsals and performances
Ensure the rigging team and technical personnel respect standards and regulations regarding the safety of rigging equipment, and apply safe work methods
Develop and update training and succession programs to ensure continuity of rigging operations during performance runs
Inspect and maintain rigging equipment, and keep records of inspections and alterations
Support the Technical Director by taking part in the process of hiring new technicians, managing team budgets and projecting expenditures
Requeriments:
College or University- Live entertainment or theatre production (or relevant work experience)
5+ years Experience in the entertainment industry
3+ years Experience in a management or leader role
3+ years Experience in working in a live performing environment
