Head Chef

Lemongrass Bistro Ltd is looking for a Full-Time Head Chef (NOC 62200) to join our team! This is a full-time, permanent position with 30-40 hours per week. We offer year-round and seasonal positions.

Job Description

• Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities of Lemongrass Bistro
• Consult with clients regarding banquets and specialty functions
• Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
• Estimate food requirements and may estimate food and labour costs
• Supervise activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs and cooks
• Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
• Recruit and hire staff
• As needed, prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial food preparation
• Experience with Asian cuisine is an asset.
