Hardware Quality Engineer
Job Description
We are looking for a Hardware Quality Engineer to own and build the quality system across Lightspeed’s hardware ecosystem – payment terminals/readers, printers, networking, tablets, and POS accessories – ensuring devices meet high performance standards and technical issues are resolved permanently across our portfolio.
Responsibilities
Define and maintain overall quality strategy, including a consistent testing framework, quality gates, and acceptance criteria across the hardware portfolio.
Lead structured investigations into hardware failures, perform root cause analysis, identify containment plans, and ensure their execution.
Define and maintain the supplier performance monitoring and inspection plans for inbound inventory.
Support returns triage and disposition decisions.
Publish recurring quality dashboards and narratives for stakeholders and leadership.
