Job Description
Elevate your underwriting career within the Group Benefits team in Downtown Edmonton. As a Group Underwriter, you will be integral in evaluating, pricing, and negotiating benefits for clients.
This role reports to the Manager of Group Underwriting and focuses on applying best practices across Group Dental, Vision, Life, and more. You'll be tasked with analyzing industry trends, managing workload effectively, and assessing risk to meet internal productivity goals. A strong background in data-driven decision-making is vital to ensure success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate rates for various group benefits
• Perform manual and experience rating functions
• Analyze past claims and financial trends
• Collaborate with stakeholders for effective negotiations
• Maintain knowledge of industry changes and legislation
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• 2–5 years of underwriting experience
• Strong analytical and portfolio management skills
