Grain Inspector at SGS - Level 1
Job Description
SGS is looking for a Level 1 Grain Inspector, supporting sustainability and quality in agriculture. This part-time role involves laboratory analysis and sample management on a rotating shift basis.
In this role at SGS, you'll contribute to the inspection of grain quality while ensuring compliance with the Canada Grain Act. The position offers approximately 30 hours weekly, working in shifts that vary from day, evening, to night hours, alongside weekend commitments. Proficiency with laboratory equipment and computer software is essential for tasks like data entry and maintaining sample integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Log in and organize incoming samples
• Clean grain samples for grading
• Pick up and deliver samples to various locations
• Operate and calibrate laboratory equipment
• Perform analyses including moisture and protein tests
Requirements:
• High School diploma minimum
• Valid Driver License
