GIS Technician (Junior Level)

Overview

Within the national geomatics service, you will support the delivery of GIS and cartographic services as part of a multidisciplinary team contributing to environmental studies, impact assessments, permitting, and infrastructure-related projects across Canada. In this GIS Technician (Junior Level), you will work closely with GIS analysts and specialists to prepare maps, maintain geospatial data, and support project teams in a structured, pan‑Canadian environment.

Your role

• Prepare maps, figures, and tables in accordance with corporate cartographic standards.
• Compile, clean, and update geospatial data from multiple sources.
• Support data validation and QA/QC activities to help ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Digitize, georeference, and organize spatial information and project files.
