Geotechnical Engineer

Job Summary:

In this role, you will conduct field investigations and plan specifications for project geotechnical design. You will oversee the field and laboratory, conduct studies, and interpret regulations. You will participate in new business efforts and proposal preparation including identifying client needs and developing cost estimates. Your expertise will help ensure geotechnical project aspects meet project requirements.

Major Responsibilities:

• Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard geotechnicalengineering methods preparing specifications for subsurface investigations for new and existing facilities
• Providing oversight of geotechnical analyses such as stability of soil and rock slopes, rock excavation and slope protection, bearing capacity and settlement of shallow foundations, lateral earth pressures, and axial and lateral pile capacities
