Fund Development Officer
Job Description
This is not a desk job. The Fund Development Officer owns Calgary's fundraising strategy from end to end. You write grants, walk into rooms, build relationships, and make the ask. You move people from interested to invested, and you understand that great fundraising is built on trust, not tactics. You will work closely with the Executive Director to grow Calgary's donor base, secure grant funding, cultivate corporate partners, and lead fundraising events that connect the community to our mission.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Grant Writing and Research
- Identify, research, and pursue grant opportunities at the municipal, provincial, and federal levels
- Write compelling, well-researched grant applications aligned with Mamas for Mamas programs and impact data
- Manage deadlines, reporting requirements, and funder relationships for all active grants
- Maintain a living grants calendar and opportunity pipeline
