Join the Division of Geriatric Psychiatry in Nanaimo as a full-time Geriatric Psychiatrist. Provide expert consultation in various care settings, serving both patients and healthcare teams effectively.
This role invites a Geriatric Psychiatrist to collaborate closely with three peers within a robust multidisciplinary GEM team. You will lead consultations for complex patients and contribute to the innovative Island-wide tertiary Geriatric Psychiatry program, extending services to remote communities on Vancouver Island. Opportunities are available for teaching within the UBC affiliated programs, enhancing clinician and physician education.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide consultation in inpatient and outpatient settings
• Collaborate with primary care providers and healthcare professionals
• Lead the GEM multidisciplinary consultation-liaison program
• Participate in NRGH General Psychiatry call rotation
• Assist in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students
