Job Description
North Island Hospital seeks a full-time General Internist for its Comox Valley campus. Be part of a dynamic medical team in a picturesque location with recreational and educational opportunities.
The successful applicant will join a team of internists, providing inpatient general internal medicine coverage, including ICU and telemetry unit responsibilities. Must possess FRCPC certification and the ability to obtain licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia. Responsibilities also include outpatient care and involvement in teaching UBC medical students and residents.
Key Responsibilities:
• Cover inpatient GIM including telemetry and ICU
• Participate in the 1:9 or 1:10 on-call rotation
• Engage in outpatient general internal medicine
• Teach medical students and residents effectively
• Coordinate quality improvement projects
