Overview

Job Title: Material Handler

Job Summary : Working under general supervision, a Material Handler moves material to various areas inside and outside the facility using powered forklift truck (counterbalance or reach forklifts). Material Handlers supporting receiving of material and shipping of finished goods (mobile elevated work platforms).

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or using basic material handling equipment
• Perform other material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking.
• Operate winches and other loading devices to load and unload materials onto and off trucks.
• Operate a tow motor in a safe manner, both loading and unloading freight.
• Perform tow motor inspection.
• Keep all manufacturing and shipping/receiving areas organized.
