Fire Assay Technician

Responsibilities

• Receiving WOs and performing sample preparation.
• Performing analysis of samples.
• Maintain minor instrumentation in optimized and calibrated condition.
• Troubleshoot instrumental problems and perform basic maintenance of instrumentation.
• Perform sample, reagent, and calibration standard preparation.
• Verify and validate data.
• Keep accurate and up to date records.
• Train junior analysts.
• Follow all SOPs and QC procedures.
• Meet quality assurance and turnaround time specifications.
• Other administrative/laboratory tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Good communication.
• Must be able to wear a respirator and work in hot conditions.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
