Extrusion Die Process Technician
Job Description
Drive efficiency as an Extrusion Die Process Technician, applying your skills in metal finishing and die maintenance. Work closely with the team to optimize die operations and quality.
Reporting to the Extrusion Shift Supervisor, this role requires effective communication with all relevant plant personnel. You'll be responsible for preparing and maintaining dies while ensuring they are inspected and polished to meet quality standards. Working with caustic substances and maintaining safety protocols is essential in this dynamic position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and deliver dies as per schedule
• Isolate defective dies and prioritize corrections
• Inspect, polish, and maintain all extrusion dies
• Ensure efficient operation of caustic equipment
• Report equipment malfunctions to maintenance
Requirements:
• Minimum Grade 12 education
• Basic knowledge of extrusion processes is valuable
