Job Description
Make a difference as an Employment Retention Specialist with the YMCA of the National Capital Region. This role focuses on supporting clients in achieving and retaining meaningful employment.
The successful candidate will join a dedicated team providing consulting services to unemployed individuals, particularly Ontario Works clients. You will manage case assessments, job coaching, and facilitate training to enhance employment retention. Key tasks include monitoring job placements and providing ongoing support to clients in various employment sectors.
Key Responsibilities: • Facilitate clients’ development of workplace habits and attitudes • Actively recruit employers for job placements • Develop and monitor training plans with clients and employers • Act as a liaison between clients and potential employers • Maintain a caseload of 130-160 participants annually
