About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Zone Manager, Emergency Preparedness, and working with the zone and Nova Scotia Health teams, the Emergency Preparedness Consultant is responsible for coordinating activities within the designated zone related to emergency planning and response. The Consultant will also be responsible for coordinating activities within the zone related to education & training, emergency exercising, emergency planning, response (including the support of an Incident Management Team) and continuity planning. The Consultant works under the authority of the manager and is responsible for participating in the development, implementation, maintenance and evaluation of all components of a comprehensive and provincially integrated emergency preparedness program.
