Contribute to McGill University's education mission as a Course Lecturer for EDEE 270-004 in Fall 2026. Teach Elementary School Science, focusing on pedagogy and interaction with pre-service teachers.
The Department of Integrated Studies in Education (DISE) seeks a dedicated Course Lecturer with a Master's degree related to science education. Expertise in elementary science pedagogy, the Quebec Education Program, and experience teaching science to elementary-aged children are essential. The course is conducted entirely in French and requires proficiency in the language.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach the Elementary School Science course to pre-service teachers
• Coordinate and oversee teaching assistants for laboratory sessions
• Attend course planning meetings two weeks prior to the start
• Engage students in scientific exploration and environment understanding
• Assess and provide feedback on student presentations and projects
