The Opportunity
8‑month work term: September2026–April ‑month work term (preferred): September2026–August2027.
How You Will Contribute
- Develop and maintain MATLAB‑based software for the automated factory calibration and test of coherent optical modems.
- Interface with a wide range of optical test and measurement equipment.
- Work closely with hardware and manufacturing engineers to define test procedures, gather requirements, and validate your code.
- Analyze test data to verify performance and support the deployment of your software into Ciena’s manufacturing facilities.
Must Haves
- Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
