ED Staff Specialist - Permanent vacancy in Northern Tasmania

The Position

Skilled Medical are looking for an experienced Anaesthetist to work in Northern Tasmania. The hospital needs doctors who are either already working in Australia or have completed their college assessment and been deemed substantially comparable.

Health Service

43-bed unit with over 45,000 annual presentations and a 30% admission rate

Referral centre for Northern Tasmania

High-acuity, broad-spectrum caseload—including a significant paediatric component—supported by all major specialties and an ICU with ECMO capability

Consultants provide direct clinical supervision from 8am until midnight, seven days a week with an on-call service outside these hours.

A FACEM group with expertise in ultrasound, paediatrics, retrieval, international EM, medical education and leadership.

ACEM accreditation for 24 months of Emergency Registrar Training, including TS4 (late phase training).
