Job Description
Join the BC Provincial Outreach Program for Students with Deafblindness as a Teacher Consultant. This role requires travel across British Columbia to support inclusive education initiatives.
The Teacher Consultant will work collaboratively with educators, supporting school districts, independent schools, and online programs to enhance the learning experience for students who are deafblind. You will focus on identifying student needs, developing Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and providing ongoing consultation. Your efforts will promote classroom inclusion, access, and active student participation in their learning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and assess student needs for support
• Collaborate on Individual Education Plans with educational teams
• Recommend programming resources for meaningful student inclusion
• Provide ongoing direct support through regular consultations
• Develop and teach courses on deafblind intervention
