Cultural Programming Coordinator Position
Job Description
Defend and promote Cree culture by becoming the Language and Cultural Coordinator at Flying Dust. This vital role focuses on youth empowerment through language revitalization and cultural teachings.
You will actively deliver the Flying Dust Youth, Language and Land Stewardship Initiative, ensuring programming is trauma-informed and culturally appropriate. Working alongside Elders and Knowledge Keepers, you'll support youth engagement in cultural activities and wellness programming, fostering a strong cultural identity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver Cree language revitalization programs for youth and families
• Facilitate cultural teachings under Elder guidance
• Organize community engagement through cultural events and activities
• Support knowledge transfer initiatives with Elders
• Track program attendance and assist in evaluations
Requirements:
• Grade 12 education required; post-secondary preferred
• Must pass a CPIC and Vulnerable Sector Check
