What will you be doing?
- The preparation, production, and transportation of food items for service
- Plans effectively to meet daily job requirements
- Demonstrate proficiency in both hot and cold areas of the kitchen
- Ability to multitask in a variety of roles within the kitchen
- Positive influence with all members of the culinary team
- The organization of food items and mise en place
- Inventory management; receiving and proper storage of food deliveries
- Maintaining food standards through use of standardized food recipes and safe food handling practices
- Maintains food cost through the minimization of food waste
- Identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings to the kitchen managers
- Maintain a safe work environment, identifying potential hazards and reporting any noticed deficiencies immediately
