Crisis Clinician for Emergency Department

Be an integral part of Northumberland Hills Hospital as a Crisis Clinician in the Emergency Department, specializing in mental health assessment and crisis de-escalation. This part-time, temporary role offers a chance to make a difference in patients' lives.
Reporting to the Patient Care Manager, the Crisis Clinician provides vital support through mental health assessments and safety planning. You will also assist police in community non-emergency mental health crises and collaborate with primary healthcare providers and other agencies in the Ontario Health East Region to ensure comprehensive care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct mental health assessments for individuals in crisis
• De-escalate urgent mental health situations effectively
• Provide short-term counseling and referrals
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and agencies
• Facilitate cases in the community and healthcare settings
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Social Work or related field
