COTA/OTA

Provides professional patient care and practices occupational therapy by implementing and documenting treatment under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist. Treats patients in accordance with the order from the physician and the plan of care established by the Occupational Therapist. Will provide treatment through the use of a variety of therapeutic procedures and assistive devices intended to maximize functional potential in all areas of the patient's life. Implements an individualized treatment plan based on the Occupational Therapist's evaluation and plan of care to address patient needs. Collaborates with supervising Occupational Therapists throughout the treatment process to discuss updates and revisions as needed. Establishes and instructs patients, families, and other caregivers in exercises and therapeutic home programs to be continued following discharge.
