Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs. Develop pre-qualification submissions for clients. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, maps, and specifications to determine work requirements. Create master format (Class A) and elemental format (Classes B, C, D) estimates. Operate CAD systems and other computer software for estimating, including CADD, AutoCAD, MS Project, MS Excel, and MS Word. Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads.
