Job Description
The Mustard Seed is seeking a Community Outreach Advocate in Calgary, where you will focus on mental health and emergency response support. This full-time role is aimed at facilitating community wellness.
This position, intended for a fixed term from June to December 2026, reports to the Senior Manager of Health and Wellness. As a vital team member, you will work closely with individuals facing homelessness and other barriers to health. Your efforts will empower clients through advocacy and resource connection within a multidisciplinary framework.
Key Responsibilities:
• Meet community members for general intakes and referrals
• Educate individuals about their health rights
• Develop partnerships with local agencies
• Provide necessary crisis intervention
• Track guest progress and update HMIS records
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field preferred
• At least two years in mental health support
