Unit Summary
The McMaster Children’s Hospital Autism Program is an ambulatory service for autistic children and youth. These services have strong links to McMaster University’s Departments of Pediatrics and Psychiatry, McMaster Autism Research Team (MacART) and the Offord Centre for Child Studies.
Position Summary
As a member of an interdisciplinary team, the Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA) will provide individual and/or group communication interventions, and augmentative communication services to autistic children and youth within the McMaster Children’s Hospital Autism Program, including the delivery of Ontario Autism Program services, under the supervision of Speech‑Language Pathologists. Therapy may be conducted in clinic, at home, in the community or virtually. Mentoring is available in all areas of practice.
Schedule Work Hours
Monday to Friday; days and evenings; weekend work may be required
