Job Description
Join Cementation as a Mechanical Designer in North Bay, ON, and play a key role in developing engineering solutions for underground mining. This position requires a focus on compliance and innovative design.
In collaboration with project leads, the Mechanical Designer is responsible for creating detailed drawings and models that meet client requirements and safety regulations. The role demands a high level of skill in drafting and significant experience in mining or heavy construction. Ideal candidates will possess strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform design and drafting for permanent mine operations
• Develop sketches and detailed designs from concept to completion
• Produce 2D and 3D models according to engineering standards
• Prepare comprehensive design documentation for subterranean works
• Identify potential risks and propose innovative design solutions
Requirements:
• Post-secondary Technician or Technology Diploma essential
