Cardiology Technician, HVI Horizon- Farrell
Job Description
University of Pittsburgh Physicians is hiring a full-time Cardiology Technician for the Heart and Vascular Institute at UPMC Horizon. This position will work Monday-Friday, daylight hours. Some travel to the Greenville or Jameson office may be required. This position will also assist with front office and administrative assistant duties.
Purpose:
Perform specialized clinical functions related to Electrocardiogram, Holter and Event monitoring, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, cardiac device remote monitoring, rooming for hospital based and outpatient clinics.
Responsibilities:
+ Obtain patient medical records as well as correctly scan documents and enter data into the patient record.
+ Receive results from diagnostic studies such as lab work, EKG's and X-ray. Ensure prompt review and notify appropriate personnel immediately of abnormal results.
+ Demonstrate competency by independently performing procedures and required set up in the out-patient ...
