Cardiac Sonographer, Echo – Casual - Markham Stouffville Hospital

Responsibilities

Perform adult and paediatric cardiac ultrasound examinations and other related procedures. Work independently within a participative, self‑managed professional environment. Carry out examinations in accordance with hospital policy, health and safety legislation, and best practices.

Qualifications

• Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
• Registration with the American Registration of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDCS) designation.
• Member of CARDUP.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Minimum one year full‑time hospital experience in all aspects of adult echocardiography; experience with paediatrics is an asset.
• Experience with contrast echo, TEE, and stress echo is preferred.
• Excellent patient care, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to teach and evaluate students in their clinical placement.
