Overview

Cando is hiring a Switchperson responsible for effective rail car operations and safety at customer locations. This physical, outdoor role requires effective teamwork and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate locomotives following established protocols
• Conduct thorough checks of equipment and operating systems
• Maintain detailed records and operational documentation
• Offer support in all operational aspects on-site
• Promptly report any safety-related issues or concerns

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED needed
• Experience in a relevant industrial setting is a plus
• Ability to work extensive shifts in varying conditions
• Valid Class 5 driver's license an advantage
• Successfully pass drug and background screenings
