Job Description
Shape community safety as a Building Inspector III, focusing on compliance and inspections. This role involves a complete weekly commitment of 40 hours.
As a Building Inspector III, you will be instrumental in conducting plan checks and inspections according to the B.C. Building Code and related bylaws. Your responsibilities will include issuing various building permits and consulting with the public on construction inquiries. The position requires a meticulous approach to regulatory compliance and effective communication with multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Check compliance of building plans and zoning bylaws
• Issue building and plumbing permits efficiently
• Perform inspections and generate detailed reports
• Collaborate with the Fire Department and other agencies
• Assist the public with property information inquiries
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 and relevant experience
• BOABC Building Regulatory System course completion
