Board Treasurer Winnipeg

The Hope in Shadows Society (Megaphone) is seeking a Board Treasurer to help steward the financial health of our organization. This is a volunteer role on our governance Board of Directors, as the day-to-day financial management is overseen by the Executive Director. This role is ideal for a qualified who wants to put their financial expertise to work in service of a grassroots, community-driven organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Executive Director on financial planning and decision‑making
• Review and present financial statements and budgets at board meetings and the AGM
• Ensure the organization maintains appropriate financial controls and complies with
• Liaise with the external bookkeeper or accountant, as needed

Skills & Qualifications

• Background in accounting, financial management, or a related field (CPA designation an asset but not required), or equivalent experience (past Treasurer role)
