Biologist / Avian Bird Sweeper

Position Details

Biologist/Avian Bird Sweeper – Seasonal, Part-Time (temporary position from June - September 2026).

Compensation: $30-34/hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement breeding bird and nest surveys across Manitoba.
• Act as contractor liaison.
• Prepare summaries of results in letter reports.
• Complete fieldwork in other disciplines as needed.
• Work effectively in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in biology or Avian Bird Sweeper certification.
• Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, proficiency in Excel.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and Driver’s abstract.
• Ability to work alone in remote areas across Manitoba.
