Job Description
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain database solutions using AWS database services such as RDS (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server), DynamoDB, Aurora, and Redshift
- Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, and schema design for high-volume, high-transaction systems
- Implement and manage database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions using AWS services like Backup and CloudFormation
- Monitor and maintain database availability, health, and performance using tools such as CloudWatch, Performance Insights, and third‑party monitoring solutions
- Automate database provisioning, maintenance, and scaling using Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) tools and ensure consistency across environments
- Develop reusable automation scripts and templates to standardize operational processes, reduce manual intervention, and accelerate delivery
